I’ve been fascinated with the Soap Opera genre since I was a tot and I have always had the idea of a Queer Soap Opera in the back of my mind. Recently I discovered the Vertical Series/Microdrama (A series that is around 2 to 3 minutes an episode and shot in 9:16 format to be watched on your phone). I felt this format was perfect for my queer soap idea, so I wrote and directed, Between Worlds.

Between Worlds tells the story of an aspiring politician who’s secret life as a gay man turns not just his life upside down, but also the lives of the people around him including his younger male lover, his wife, his brother, and a reported hellbent on taking him down.
